Supported File Formats

Archive formats:

• ZIP:  Extension .zip or .cbz
• RAR:  Extension .rar or .cbr
• ACE:  Extension .ace or .cba
• 7zip:  Extension .7z, .7zip or cb7

All archives support archives within archives so you can zip while you zip... wait, no.  They support archives within archives so you can put zips of chapters into a volume archive.

Note: Large archives can take a a few seconds to process. For performance reasons, it is recommended to only compress chapters and to put these compressed chapters inside of Volume/Book folders.

Image Formats:

• PNG: Portable Network Graphics. Open Source and Patent Free image format.
• JPG: JPEG image format. Small files, but lossy compression. Supports .jpg and .jpeg extensions
• GIF: Compuserve Graphics Image Format. Palletized lossy compression.
• PCX: PC Paintbrush image format. Some compression, but lossless.
• TIFF: Tagged Image File Format. Cross-platform image format. Large.  Supports .tif and .tiff extensions.
• BMP: Bitmap, a very simple standard image format. Very large and uncompressed.
• TGA: Targa. Like PCX: Some compression, but lossless.
• PSD: Adobe Photoshop file. Reads the fully composed image tagged to the end of the file and not the actual layer information.
• TLA: Smaller Animals Software image format. Unencrypted files only.
  
• WMF: Windows Metafile.  What the heck, as long as I'm adding support for weird formats, might as well include a vector format.
